We can pollute our lives with so many things that prevent us from experiencing vibrant health. For me, coffee was a major addiction that I gave up several months ago. This happened when I opened up myself to learn about caffeine and how it was a poison to my body by making me acidic, causing a breeding ground for diseases in the soil of my body! I forsook this with a great struggle. I literally experienced a violent withdraw, similar to what a drug fiend would experience. I did not realize how coffee was slowing me down until I was cleansed from it and from so many other foods that were toxic to my health. Now I feel so much clarity in my mind and I have no cravings for it anymore! It is a wonderful feeling to be truly free of this bondage.
If you want to experience vibrant health, you first must prepare the soil of your heart and life. Are you rebellious towards those who try to encourage repentance in your life both spiritually and physically? Just like we must repent of our sins and put our faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, we also must repent of things in our life that are hurting us physically like refined sugars, fast foods, meat, and dairy, which are causing the soil of our bodies to be a breeding ground for sickness and disease. Sure, it is not "sin" to partake of meats or sugars, but it is not sin to eliminate them either, and experience the vitality that our bodies were meant to experience.
The diet in the Garden of Eden (Gen. 1:29) that God originally gave us to eat, was a plant based diet. Meat was only introduced after the flood, as something allowed, not what is best. We must allow the soil of our bodies and lives to be cultivated in order to receive what is good and beneficial, to promote healing. It might hurt to break free from the food addictions, but the reward of vibrant health will be your payment in full.
